Challenges and Prospects for the Healthcare System in the Russian Federation

The article analyzes the main medical problems and considers external challenges to the Russian healthcare system until 2020, which must be taken into account when formulating and implementing policy decisions in the field of long-term development of the healthcare system of the Russian Federation. Priority areas and solutions to key problems are proposed, in addition to prospects for drug development aimed at future planning of the "Health Development" program. The article also analyzed data collected from a survey of 143 experts through interviews. The main research method was an empirical analysis based on an online survey of public administration and policy-making experts.
