Cigarette smoking is that the largest preventable risk factor for morbidity and mortality in developed countries. Current smoking within the us is positively related to younger age, lower income, reduced educational achievement, and disadvantaged neighborhood environment. This study assessed smokers' awareness about the health risks of cigarette smoking and therefore the benefits of smoking filtered and low-tar cigarettes, and their awareness of and interest in trying reduced-risk tobacco products. those that believed they might stop smoking within the next year were more intimate smoking. Some 77% of respondents reported a desire for extra information from tobacco companies on the health dangers of smoking.The present smoke and stop-smoking medications which they need more information about ways to scale back their health risks.
