Dacron graft axillary infection after aortic dissection surgery

Peripheral cannulation is necessary to provide adequate perfusion in patients undergoing cardiac surgery due to aortic dissection. Many surgeons perfuse patients by suturing a tube graft to the axillary artery. The purpose of this technique is to provide greater control over the surgical field. We described the case of a patient who developed a pressure ulcer on an axillary Dacron graft 6 months after surgery.
