A study of the consequences of smoking on periodontal health

Background: The impact of smoking habits on periodontal conditions led to different opinions in studies. Aims: To assess if a history of smoking is associated with chronic periodontitis and with poor oral hygiene, compared with nonsmokers subjects. Method: The medical and dental history was collected during year 2007 from 273 subjects 18
